{ Sweet Innocence Soap }

Hello loves,

I have a hard time letting things be simple and decided to make some fancy versions of the { Innocence Soap } with lavender essential oil and honey. If you know me, you know I love honey and have a small, sort-of rotating collection which I acquired from various locales, so it shouldn’t be any surprise when I toss some honey into a recipe.

This soap promises to be wonderful!

While it may be a good fit for your baby’s bath time it’s always wise to do a small patch test before lathering up for a full-on bath. ( This is true for adults, too. It’s often hard to predict what your skin will reject and is much safer to only suffer on one square inch than on your entire face or body! )

Sing-songingly,
Kelly

Love me tender.

Love me tender.

We are moving toward a more luxurious offering and our ingredients bear testament to this change: more rich butters and more nutritious oils your skin will love.

The oils used in this soap are:

{ Avocado Oil }

This wonderful oil is rich in Omega-3, antioxidants and Vitamins A, E, D, B1, B2 & K. It is an effective, nourishing moisturizer that aids in fighting the aging process.

This oil has a high percentage of unsaponifiables, which means much of it’s nutrients are left unaltered and available for your skin to absorb in the final soap.

{ Mango Butter }

One of our butter crushes, mango butter is a favorite of ours! This butter is traditionally used for its skin softening, soothing, moisturizing and protective properties. It boasts natural emollient, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-ageing properties as well as regenerative activity. This butter is rich in vitamins A, C and E, which combat free radicals.

In soap this butter produces a hard bar of soap with a stable, conditioning lather.

{ Natural Raw Shea Butter }

Oh, we could go crazy with shea butter! It’s so rich and creamy and absolute luxury for our skin!

Shea butter is touted as a sort of skin cure-all with healing qualities, anti-inflammatory properties and a high antioxidant content make this a proverbial skin super food. Skin will absorb this butter readily, leaving little to nothing left over.

This butter contains many trace ingredients which don’t react with lye, meaning they remain intact and ready to be absorbed by your skin. In addiction to topical nutritive properties, shea butter also gives soap a nice slip.

{ Sweet Almond Oil }

Sweet almond oil is rich in vitamins A, B and E, which are wonderful for skin and hair alike. Vitamin E, in particular, is wonderful for helping skin maintain a plump, youthful appearance. This oil is a wonderfully balancing moisturizer that is effective without causing a greasy feeling or oily buildup.

{ Palm Oil }

This oil is rich in Vitamin E, an antioxidant, which prevents collagen damage, fine lines, wrinkles and cellular damage by neutralizing free radicals.

In soap this oil produces a hard, stable bar with a rich, fluffy, creamy lather.

{ Golden Jojoba Oil }

Jojoba oil is actually a liquid wax, not an oil at all! It is high in Vitamin E and boasts great skin benefits such as moisturizing, emollient, cleansing and is nearly hypoallergenic.

Instead of water we used aloe vera liquid to make this soap super-moisturizing, calming and nourishing.

{ Aloe Vera Liquid }

Aloe is an anti-carcinogenic liquid that is also great source of calcium, zinc, folic acid, amino acids, vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, C and E. This miracle plant byproduct offers great moisturizing, rejuvenating, anti-aging, soothing and anti-inflammatory properties.

{ Honey }

Honey is a humectant which is naturally antibacterial, full of antioxidants, moisturizing, soothing and clarifying. These qualities make it a great gentle, natural treatment for acne, signs of aging, dry skin and clogged pores.

For some extra-calming and soothing qualities we added some delightful lavender essential oil to the mix:

{ Lavender }

Properties include: antibacterial, antidepressant, analgesic, antiseptic, bacteriostatic, cicatrizant, deodorant, disinfectant, expectorant, healing, nervine, rejuvenating, relaxing, vulnery

This essential oil is especially good help against coughs, colds and the flu as it eases breathing and helps defend against airborne viruses. It is also great relief from anxiety, stress, stiffness and aches.

Love me true!

Love me true!

This soap will finish curing between November 21 & December 5.
